Welcome to ATOM for 2009!

Celebrating 50 years of Aluminum Trees.

The year: 1959.  The newest holiday must-have: The all-new, fireproof, reusable, silver aluminum tree!  Made only in the USA, by skilled all-American workers.  Ahhhh, those were the days.

The year: 2009.  The aluminum tree still shines, spotlighted in the world's only Museum dedicated to vintage aluminum trees.  Staffed by skilled, all-American volunteers.

ATOM is the acronym for the Aluminum Tree and Aesthethically Challenged Seasonal Ornament Museum & Research Center.  Established in Brevard, North Carolina in 1997, ATOM is the world's only Museum dedicated to the preservation and public display of vintage aluminum trees.    ATOM is also an apt name for this Museum, since the trees were produced during the "atomic age" of the mid-20th century.   For 2009, ATOM is once again open in Brevard, NC for the holiday season!  We are located within the Transylvania Heritage Museum at 40 West Jordan Street, downtown Brevard, 1 1/2 blocks from the Courthouse.  The Museum will be open through Saturday, December 19, 2009   Operating hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, Wednesdays - Saturdays (closed Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays).   BONUS DAYS: By popular demand, ATOM is opening for two extra days just before Christmas!  Come see us Wednesday, December 23 (10 until 5 p.m.), or Christmas eve (10 until 3 p.m.)
